Over the past two years, singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer M. BYRDhas attracted international attention with his highly personal songwriting. After more than 10 million streams and worldwide attention, he continues to realize his vision on his debut album "The Seed" (released via Nettwerk Music), due in June 2023.
In 2020, he generated millions of streams and praise from international blogs such as Ones To Watch, Earmilk, Rolling Stone France, Atwood, etc. with the single "Mountain", followed by "Morning Sun". With all this in his luggage, he toured all over Europe with Roosevelt in 2021, played shows such as at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg and the Spot Festival in Aarhus, took the stage at the Immergut Festival or the Rolling Stone Weekender and was pleased to have his own first headline shows in Copenhagen and London.
The songs on his debut album "The Seed" sound like a road movie, like the West Coast as well as the UK, like a Ford Mustang convertible as well as a self-built student van. M. BYRDbelongs to a new generation that walks across borders, that links nations, genres, themes. To display this stylistic confidence in songwriting already at the beginning of his career is remarkable, at the same time his music sounds open and relaxed, as if a warm breeze and a lot of desert sand is always blowing through the acoustic arrangements and the multi-layered guitars.
